Workaround for hasp install issues in Windows 10

Geo - All versions up to and including 2.2.1

Geothermal - All versions up to and including 2.8.1

Hydro - All versions up to and including 2.2.3

Windows 10 only



On some computers which are running Windows 10, installing Leapfrog will generate an error which indicates that the dongle driver has not installed correctly. As a result, these users will find that their dongles do not work and they are unable to run Leapfrog using a dongle license. The user will see one or both of the errors below:





Sentinel have released an updated driver. The workaround is now to download and install the updated hasp driver using version 7.32 of  the "Sentinel HASP/LDK - Windows GUI Run-time Installer" from sentinal's main download site here. From our testing this updated installer functions correctly in windows 10 and  should work around the issue described here by allowing users with this problem to install functional hasp drivers. The recommended install procedure is:

  1. Download the Sentinel HASP/LDK - Windows GUI Run-time Installer.
  2. Remove ALL dongles from your computer.
  3. Run the installer and install the hasp drivers.

Performing these steps should install functioning dongle drivers which will allow you to run Leapfrog on a Windows 10 system.
